WorkKeys Career Readiness Credential

States and communities nationwide are using WorkKeys to create portable credentials that help applicants show employers they have the skills needed for today’s jobs. Assessments in Reading for Information, Applied Mathematics and Locating Information now serve as the basis for a Career Readiness Certificate. The credential is an EEOC and ADA compliant measure of a person’s workplace literacy skills and serves as a predictor of workplace success.

A career readiness certificate can be used across the country. In fact, the National Career Readiness Certificate will also include a job bank registry you can use to find employers who are looking for certificate holders.

The Career Readiness Credential is awarded at three levels: Bronze-level 3 (employability skills for 30% of US jobs), Silver-level 4 (employability skills for 65% of US jobs) and Gold-level 5 (employability for 90% of US jobs). The definitions for these certificate levels are shown on the back of the credential so than an employer can see exactly what skills a person possesses.
