Industrial First Aid/CPR

Basic First Aid - 6 Hours

Basic First Aid is designed for anyone who would like to learn some very basic first aid for home or at work. The course will cover the legal aspects of first aid, communicable diseases, ABC’s of assessment, bleeding control, fracture management, eye injuries, care of burns, medical emergencies.

Each student will receive a course packet of instructional material with this course to keep for future reference.

Advanced Basic First Aid - 18 Hours

A more comprehensive First Aid course than Basic First Aid, this course is for those wishing to extend their knowledge. Course topics include scene safety; universal precautions; patient assessment; basic life support; hypovollemic shock; spinal precautions; oxygen application; bleeding and soft tissue injury; head, face, and throat injury; back and spinal injuries; eye injuries; heat and cold related emergencies; cardiac emergencies; chest injuries; stroke; diabetes; poisoning; overdose; seizures and convulsions; anaphylactic shock; and severe allergic reaction.

Textbook and workbook fees are not included in the cost of the class.
